also has a latter-day history through it's adoption for what can be regarded as a form of mid-eighteen hundreds
marketing by a forward-thinking early industrialist! Whether ancient or modern doesn't really matter however, because
as long as it is a good solid tale it can still be the beating heart of a full length plot driven Ballet. Plus, Shakespeare and the Classicists aren't writing much these days anyway, and come to that what have any of the stalwarts of 18th century music composition done recently either? Exactly!
So today it is Copywriters who, like Shakespeare before them, strive constantly to write tales of relevance and meaning, todays legends. So, to show that full length plot driven Ballets remain as vital as ever BALLET FUNKY is setting this particular marketing ploy ... er, ancient legend, in the Art & Antiques world of the 1950s, a time that some say was its pinnacle before greed and investment kicked ownership and enjoyment right into the weeds!
ART: a new, full length, classically informed, plot driven Ballet set to the 12 movement suite of music composed especially for it. A beautiful story of love between Lovers suffering every effort to part them. Their story is often one of frustration and danger, but also is one of great joy and an eternity of happiness.
